Kordia Solutions, Australia’s leading telecommunications engineering specialist, along with partner, Downer EDI Ltd, have been selected by NBN Co to participate in the Townsville based First Release Pilot Site design project.
The project is being conducted in partnership with Downer, creating a best in class aerial network design for the city of Townsville and key stakeholders including the utility Ergon Energy.
Drawing on Kordia’s extensive expertise in the design and deployment of fixed, mobile and private networks across Australia and the Asia Pacific, the project fuses Kordia’s cutting edge technology with NBN planning requirements and the expectations of the utilities and council.
The Downer Kordia alliance was selected by NBN Co following an extensive competitive tender process.

Kordia has an internationally trained team of 480 skilled structural, network design technicians and network operations specialists over 15 locations across Australia, New Zealand and Thailand and access to more than 1,000 accredited maintenance contractors across Australia.
