The 62nd Brisbane to Gladstone Yacht Race was run over the Easter weekend by Queensland Cruising Yacht Club.

Peter Harburg's super fast pocket maxi Black Jack sailed  to a commanding line honours lead in the 308 nautical
mile race. Details of the race can be found at www.brisbanetogladstone.com.au.

Kordia's Maritime team in Canberra played a significant role in the race by conducting the HF Radio communications. This involved not only running the race sign on and positioning skeds but also maintaining a listening watch from start to finish.

This provided competitors and the race committee with the comfort of reliable communications around the clock, a resource which was utilised by a couple of yachts that unfortunately struck bad luck.

According to Race Manager, Herb Prendergast, at the after race resentation Kordia received a thunderous pplause with crew and spectators claiming that it was the best ever HF communications experienced and that keds were rofessionally run.

Congratulations to everyone involved in making his a huge success.
