Kordia’ develops thousands of RF designs every year. These radio frequency designs are across multiple technologies.

These RF designs range from radio frequency configuration for mobile base stations to heavy-duty broadcast transmitter ‘plumbing’ designs. Our biggest turnover of radio frequency designs is in PDH and SDH microwave systems in both short and long-haul links.

Microwave network designs

Kordia recently completed 600 designs across 222 sites and undertook a mobile carrier’s largest STM-1 link installation schedule. Kordia installed 170 high capacity links over five months, averaging two swaps per night across Australia.

Each STM-1 carries between 50–100 sites worth of traffic, creating potential for extreme risks, and allowing outages for a maximum of only three hours during the low usage period of 10.00 pm to 6.00 am.
