The Maritime Operation Centre provides training courses that are designed for New Zealand’s maritime industry and recreational boating community.

Who needs to train for a radio operator’s license?

If you’re operating a radio on any of these designated marine frequencies, you will need a radio operator's license:

• VHF: Ch16
• MF: 2182 kHz
• HF: 4125, 6215, 8291, 12290 and 16420 kHz
